I feel for you. It is good truthfully that you may be leaving the situation. I raised my step-sons because the BIO-mom did not WANT to. I made sacrafices and was always there for them. She became a Reverand and is now a saint in the eyes of the two sons I raised. It doesn't matter that she was never there for them she has convinced them that I was the enemy that kept them away. Truth is, I was just her babysitter and maid while she lived a carefree life was a career college student and had no responsibility. I loved my stepsons, now I don't see them now that they are grown. "I was too hard on them", they say. My husband who was in the Army was gone a good deal of the time. They now tell him if he wants to see them he has to leave me, they are in the middle twenties in age. He told them "to have a nice life." They wanted play time Mom like BIO-mom. Know that you did your best and move on to someone who appreciates your giving heart.
